A workout room on the second floor of the Clark County Fire District 6 (CCFD 6) Station No. 1 had perceived “bounciness” in the floor framing, especially when weights were moved or dropped on the floor. Erickson Structural personnel were retained to conduct an evaluation of the floor framing below the workout room to assess the structural adequacy of the existing floor framing. Original construction documents were reviewed and the station was visited to observe existing structural conditions. Schematic remediation schemes for the identified deficiencies were provided.
